LEND A HAND, TOUCH A HEART
Lend a Hand, Touch a Heart: Community-wide Mitzvah Month is an opportunity for the entire Columbus Jewish community to come together and build community through voluntarism. The program will extend an opportunity for new and veteran community members to meet, interact and get to know each other while engaging in volunteerism. Projects are being drawn from among a wide array of Jewish and non-Jewish organization’s meeting specific and, by extension, communal needs.
The annual Community Action Day, will take place on Sunday, May 22. The fun-filled Action Day will feature projects ranging from preparing holiday care packages for our Jewish US soldiers to creating activity kits for patients at children’s hospital, cleaning up the grounds along Alum creek and organizing the library at the new Jewish Community Northeast campus. The day will conclude with an After-Party at the Community Lag B'Omer Spring Fling at Columbus Torah Academy. Don't miss out on your chance to get involved and make a difference this year.
